Our growth is fueled by individuals who share our passion. Currently, we have an opening for a Shipping Manager in our Louisville, CO location.
The Shipping Manager is responsible for oversight of daily shipping operations including order picking, packing and shipping of small parcel, large distributor and private label/contract manufacturing, and international orders- serving as a liaison between executive management and the shipping department. Responsible for providing leadership to the shipping team.
Core Responsibilities include:

- Communicate departmental and organizational goals - organizing and creating processes to meet/exceed goals and increase efficiency and motivate team members.
- Continually explore opportunities to improve processes by staying up to date on available services and necessary additional or updated tools/supplies - keeping costs aligned with budget.
- Responsible for creating (in collaboration with management) and implementing performance metrics/KPI's for the shipping department.
- Responsible for creating and updating SOP's for shipping processes and procedures.
- Supervise shipping department staff including assigning personnel to specific stations during shifts, scheduling and determining staffing requirements for busy seasons, work with HR on recruitment efforts, interviewing potential hires, and training new hires.
- Handle team management including timecard correction and vacation/sick time requests approval, progressive disciplinary actions, and staff coaching and performance reviews.
- Work with Operations Management to ensure product is efficiently received, stored and distributed to our customers.
- Coordinate shipping needs with all company levels and develop strong relationships across departments.
- Maintain updated distributor requirements, ensuring that distributor orders are packaged according to agreed upon requirements and shipped within required timeframes.
- Responsible for keeping the shipping team updated on all sales and marketing initiatives (Kits, bundles, etc.).
- Responsible for ensuring that the shipping team has the correct supplies/packaging to perform daily functions.
- Responsible for inventory management - including accurate inventory counts.
- Effectively troubleshoot and resolve process issues that contribute to shipping errors.
- Negotiate rates as needed with shipping vendors.
- Serve as the main point of contact for customer service regarding shipping issues, special requests, and problem resolution.
- Serve as an additional forklift trainer for employees.
- Ensure proper training/cross-training of all new and existing employees.
- Ensure department adheres to all established safety protocols and company policies.
Qualifications:
- HS Diploma or Equivalent
- 5+ years of experience in an e-commerce environment, including experience in a supervisory/leadership role
- Experience with domestic and international FedEx, USPS, UPS, and other freight companies
- Ship Station and/or other logistics/inventory software experience
- ERP experience (NetSuite preferred)
- Forklift certification
- cGMP experience
- MS Office Suite proficiency
- Individuals must be able to walk, bend, stoop, and repeatedly lift up to 50lbs. Must be able to stand for long periods of time.

- Associates Degree or higher in related field
- ASCM certification

- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment that requires quick thinking and effective multitasking
- Ability to work under stress and lead difficult situations
- Demonstrated leadership ability and understanding of team fundamentals to effectively empower and develop team to achieve goals & objectives
- Real passion for identifying the root cause of problems with an ability to identify, propose, and recommend innovative solutions to stakeholders
- Understanding of international shipping processes and international compliance requirements
