Primary Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic Marketing Associate to support our overall marketing efforts. You will be an integral part of the development and execution of marketing plans to reach target demographics from brand awareness to program promotion.
You will support and increase CHR’s brand awareness as an organization, its programs, and events. Your main responsibilities include producing marketing materials, managing CHR’s website, and executing CHR’s marketing plan in a way that clearly communicates the organization’s mission and goals.

Core Responsibilities
- Work closely with development and programming teams to create an effective and efficient marketing plan focused on building community and growing audiences for our services
- Execute and report on marketing plan - identifying successes, failures, and opportunities for growth
- Create and manage the marketing calendar, balancing needs from all functional areas
- Mange CHR’s website and the source data from underlying equine management system
- Design and implement successful traditional and digital marketing campaigns
- Create original content including clear marketing copy, video/photos, and supporting graphic design elements
- Create and publish content on all social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, to build brand awareness, boost fundraising, and increase impact
- Create marketing materials for fundraising, events, and programs
- Manage external print vendors and SEO consultant
- Set up tracking systems for online marketing activities and analyze returns on investment
- Conduct market research to analyze customers’ behavior across all functional areas (surrenders, adopters, volunteers, community partners, and donors)

- Understand and incorporate CHR’s mission, goals, and brand in all outreach.
- Effectively represent CHR to relevant partners and the community to increase awareness, referrals, and contributions.
- Serve as an advocate for CHR before stakeholders, partners, and the general public.
Requirements
Successful Marketing Associates have excellent spoken and written communication skills, a creative and open-minded approach, and strong organizational and planning abilities. You should work naturally within a team environment as well as possess the ability to work with little supervision.
- Commitment to the goals, values, and mission of the organization
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with individuals across all organizational levels
- Substantial organizational skills with fastidious attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize projects to meet deadlines
- Proven work experience as a Marketing Coordinator/Associate or similar role
- Knowledge of traditional and digital marketing tools
- Experience in fundraising/development supportive marketing
- Experience with research methods using data analytics software
- Experience with SEO/SEM campaigns
- Rock star graphic design talent
- Solid computer skills, including MS Office, and web analytics
- Experience in Google AdWords is a plus!
- Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management and Content Management System software
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Associates degree in Marketing or relevant field

The position will require some flexible hours including weekends as well as local and national travel (approximately 15%).
