You will be a key contributor to the North America marketing team. The Senior Brand Manager will be responsible for driving the equity and growth of the Wholesome brand, with potential for additional brands for the right candidate. Wholesome Sweeteners was founded in 2001 with the purpose of providing the highest quality Organic, Fair Trade sweeteners that make a positive impact on farming communities and the environment.
This role will lead base business management and growth strategy, innovation pipeline & commercialization, and marketing communications strategy and execution. The ideal candidate has a passion for brand building with purpose-led brands using business as a force for good, has strong analytics and business management skills, is a positive “can do” team player and leader, is resourceful, a commercialization/project management enthusiast, and loves working with others to make things happen!
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Manages the Wholesome brand (base and innovation) in North America from strategy through execution including ownership of brand P&L. May include management of an additional brand for the right candidate, with significant room to grow with our expanding portfolio of brands.
- Partner with Communications Manager to lead all marketing communications, inclusive of storytelling on farmer impact, agency relationships, marketing strategy development and execution, budget management, and KPI tracking and reporting
- Partner with Insights & Analytics leads to gain in-depth knowledge of category dynamics, business drivers, industry trends, marketing trends, and competitive landscape. Co-leads monthly business review process (Nielsen consumption data) and contributes to S&OP process
- Support corporate initiatives, including Leadership meetings, Board meetings, and investor decks.
- Manage, coach, and develop one direct report (Communications Manager)
- Reports to Marketing Director
Qualifications:
- 5 – 7 years of progressive brand management experience in CPG
- Highly entrepreneurial, takes initiative, and personally connects with our social and environmental values.
- Experience leading marketing strategy and execution, including working with agencies. Has shown creative and business results with limited resources.
- Experience in innovation pipeline development, and ability to manage multiple projects (with PMO support) through commercial execution.
- Strong analytical skills, and ability to diagnose business challenges and propose solutions/strategies
- Experienced with Nielsen AOD. SPINS a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in related field required; MBA preferred.
