The Role
Do you like to strike up conversations with strangers? Are you self-driven and in it to win? Help Three Trees dominate the natural plant-based milk category by calling stores and partnering with Grocery Managers to put our bottles on their shelf. You’ll be trained in Three Trees A-to-Z: what sets our line of organic plant-based milks apart, how to make friends with the staff at natural food stores, how to craft a killer follow up email, and much more.
Details: Part-time, project-based. Fully remote. 10 hours a week with the potential to expand
Objectives:
- Add customers (new stores ordering Three Trees)
- Increase product placements, and
- “Plug the leaky bucket” by recovering lost placements
You will be equipped with a toolbox including samples and deals: your job is to figure out what is needed to close the sale based on the interaction. Time is spent roughly 70% making phone calls, and 30% on email follow up, processing orders, and note-taking.
Incentives:
You’ll be given a range of sales targets (Good, Great, Stretch) so you can sell more to earn more.
In this position, you will:
- Make outbound sales calls to sell into new and existing accounts
- Call on existing accounts to fix issues at-shelf, such as item voids and pricing discrepancies
- Become an expert on Three Trees’ product, competitive alternative-dairy products, and the grocery and CPG (consumer product goods) business structure
- Respond to inquiries about the product, deals, and distribution
- Use our CRM (Close.io) and capture specific customer information and sales activities
- Build rapport with accounts through positive, helpful interactions
Qualifications
- Able to project high-energy and professionalism over the phone
- Able to work in an environment conducive for making phone calls and using a CRM (minimal background noise, reliable internet connection)
- Prior experience working in a customer-facing role, especially in sales, is a big plus
- Eagerness to learn the ins and outs of the natural food and grocery industry
