Our growth is fueled by individuals who share our passion and values. Currently, we have an opening for a Controller in our Louisville, CO location.
The Controller will be a working manager of the Finance department including managing staff and working to improve the Finance function in collaboration with Executive leadership.
Core Responsibilities include:

- Oversee and perform month-end and year-end close functions in an accrual accounting environment - including publishing financial statements.
- Complete weekly borrowing base calculations and other reporting as required by the company's lender.
- Oversee the Sales & Use Tax programs including Avalara and manual Use tax calculations.
- Lead and manage mid-year and year-end audits by the outside Accounting firm.
- Mentor and train Finance team members.
- Educate non-finance departments on financial metrics and ways to improve.
- Keep up to date with the Accounting industry to alert management to changes that affect the organization.
- Assist in the annual budget process as well as updating projections throughout the year.
- Work with outside tax accounting firm to complete state and federal income tax returns.
- Monitor and confirm internal controls to ensure accurate financials and use of company assets.
- Oversee debt and collections activities performed by staff.
- Review bank reconciliations and other trial balance accounts.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business with an emphasis in accounting
- Certified Management Account (CMA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CPA Candidate
- 5-7 years of related experience with a minimum of 2 years' experience in a supervisory accounting role
- Extensive NetSuite operational experience
- Manufacturing background in a job/batch processing environment
- Advanced proficiency in Excel
Ideal Candidates have the following traits:
- Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM)
- Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA)
- Experience with Business Analytic tools such as Power BI or Tableau
- Batch Processing in an ERP
- NetSuite Implementation experience
- Advanced understanding of cost and accrual accounting.
- Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and executive management regarding the finances of the business and justify certain financial recommendations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience leading an accounting team with excellent mentoring and training skills.
- Independent drive and curiosity.
- Excellent time-management and organizational skills.
- Strong analysis and problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally to improve processes and create positive outcomes.
- Ability to prioritize and balance multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in NetSuite and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a customer service orientation.
- Proactive, able to work autonomously, with the ability to relate to and work with a wide variety of stakeholders.
