Design & Marketing Specialist
Summary:
The Design & Marketing Specialist designs and finishes product education and training materials designed to help our distribution partners understand and communicate our products’ value propositions to end users. The ideal candidate for the Design & Marketing Specialist role will be an excellent graphic designer, writer, and speaker, with a fundamental knowledge of the agricultural industry, soil science and/or farming practices. This position is located in Lakewood, CO with some travel required; no relocation assistance provided.

We’re looking for a person who believes that good design is the foundation of influence. We’re looking for someone is who accountable, coachable, and has an eye for detail. While agricultural experience isn’t required, it would be extremely beneficial in shortening your runway for training. It is essential that you have the ability and experience to use Adobe Creative Suite to design and edit screenÂ-, print-, video-, and web-based collateral pieces to help communicate science-based concepts to our customers and prospects.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Design/Graphics
- Update and develop marketing communications collateral (print, video, web) utilizing Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft software products.
- Trainings and Meetings
- Assist with development and support product presentations, slideshows, and collateral for our sales personnel and distribution partners.
- Set up and coordinate remote trainings utilizing multiple platforms including Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and Webex.
- Website Management
- Update, create, and monitor website pages and content for multiple company websites.
- Data Management
- Update departmental databases, shared calendars, and training resources.
- Event Coordination
- Manage a calendar, logistics, registration, and any required shipping for Horizon University trainings.
- Organize product samples and other ancillary tradeshow/event items.
- Market Research
- Conduct market research and analysis of competitive and similar products as needed.
- Copy Writing
- Generate optimized cross-channel marketing communications collateral including case studies, testimonials, whitepapers, editorial, video, web, and social.
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Timely and accurate completion of reporting, administrative and meeting preparation/attendance duties.
- As requested, assist other Horizon Ag functions with information or tasks as required.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree plus 3-5 years of B2B marketing experience required. Ag industry experience desired.
- Strong visual, written, and verbal communication skills are required.
- Proficiency with Adobe Create Cloud (primarily InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) applications required.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint is required.
- Experience with remote presentation platforms and video presentation tools is desired.
- Website design & management experience.
- Ability to implement multiple concurrent projects and activities and complete them in a timely manner.
