FasCat is hiring its first software engineer.

We are recruiting a lead software engineer to build a training platform that will revolutionize the endurance tech ecosystem. You will bring our vision and MVP to a full fledged cutting edge platform as you build out our engineering team and code our vision.

We’re a long time, well-respected cycling coaching company with athletes all around the world. Simultaneously we are a software startup in the emerging sports science field - the intersection of power-based training and wearables. We believe endurance training should be simple, fun and effective. Data + technology are imperative to our mission and vision. 

We utilize wearable device data + power, heart rate & GPS data to help endurance athletes around the world increase their power output, optimize their recovery and balance both.  We say, “with our plan and your data, together we’ll optimize for peak performance.’ 

About the Role

You will be responsible for architecting our product to scale and the strategy to get us there. Key responsibilities will be operational and strategic, requiring collaboration with the leadership team to refine the vision and corresponding technical strategy. The ideal candidate recognizes that an aligned team is more powerful than the brilliant individual and knows how to coach and mentor engineers towards this goal. The successful candidate will be an experienced software engineer that can guide the execution of a team of software engineers, as well as code to fill in gaps. Our MVP is in progress.

What You Bring to FasCat

• 5+ years full-stack experience (i.e. Flutter, NodeJS, AWS)
• A deep understanding of mobile-based, multitiered architecture
• A proven track record of partnering with product management to build solutions that delight users
• Experience designing and developing RESTful API’s
• Expertise with data visualization (i.e. Highcharts, Charts.js, Flutter charting libraries, applying material design)
• BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience

• Experience building and applying machine learning models
• Experience managing a team of engineers
• Implementing DevOps best practices (i.e. CI/CD, monitoring and alerting, container and cloud best practices)

Salary range: $105,000 - $190,000
