The Leeds School of Business at CU Boulder encourages applications for a Social Media Manager whose knowledge of digital media strategy and audience development will take social media at Leeds from good to great. The ideal candidate will have the capability and confidence to manage Leeds’ social media presence, as well as the vision to determine the direction of our social strategy in the future. This position involves excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, creativity in framing content around the school’s strategic priorities, strong teamwork and passion for helping other partners in the school to improve their social activities. What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
Social Media
- Drive social media planning across all Leeds-owned social channels, including supporting content across secondary accounts maintained by units within Leeds.
- Create, schedule and manage a social media content planning calendar across channels.
- Serve as the community manager for Leeds’ social channels — engage audience through thoughtful discussion, respond to messages and actively increase engagement.
- Manage paid social advertising campaigns.
- Research and stay current on trends and developments in social media, especially related to higher education.
- Create monthly reports and offer data-driven recommendations through strength in social media analytics.
- Create and oversee a federated governance structure model to manage social media throughout the school. This includes working with partners across the organization that manage their own channels to create a system to procure featured content for the main channels and support continuity, branding and standard methodologies across the school.
Web Support
- Assist with web updates, including editing and publishing content and pages on the website using the Drupal CMS system.
- Support the Director of Marketing in additional website needs as required.

What We Can Offer
- The salary range is $56,000- $60,000 annually.

What We Require
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or combination of education and experience.
- 2+ years of experience as a marketing, social media, or communications professional.
- Previous experience drafting social media posts for a brand/company/organization.
What You Will Need
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, coordinate and collaborate.
- Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) expertise.
- Google Suite (Sheets, Docs) expertise.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.

What We Would Like You To Have
- Bachelor’s degree specifically in marketing, advertising, communications, or related field.
- Previous experience with a social media posting platform (Social Studio, Hootsuite, Sprout, Falcon, or similar).
- Experience leading multiple social platforms and governing social media users across an organization.
- Experience working with a CMS system like Drupal, WordPress, Joomla or similar.
- Experience working in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop.
