Optera is growing faster than ever and we are rapidly expanding our market leading product and services. We are seeking a teammate to lead our Marketing strategy and coordinate messaging and communications efforts across the company. Join us on our journey to deliver the best sustainability management software in the world.

The role and responsibilities

  • Lead our marketing strategy and implementation 
  • Collaborate with leadership from all departments to align messaging and ensure marketing efforts support company objectives
  • Hire and manage PR, market research, advertising and communications agencies and staff
  • Develop practices to measure and manage the effectiveness of marketing activities
  • Curate content to enhance Optera’s role as a thought leader
  • Oversee and further develop marketing  assets
  • Drive quality lead acquisition through targeted marketing activities

Your qualities

  • Dedicated to making clear, concise, and impactful materials and messages
  • Excels at simplifying and making complex or technical content approachable to all
  • Be part of and foster a supportive, collaborative environment where we as a team are capable of solving complex and challenging problems
  • Open mind set with desire to discover new approaches to problems and ability to apply them within teams
  • Interest in Sustainability and ESG

Your experience/qualifications

  • Years of experience developing and implementing marketing strategies for enterprise software/SaaS
  • Experience with brand, growth and content marketing
  • Knowledge and experience implementing digital marketing strategies
  • Experience managing teammates
  • A high level of comfort managing outside agencies, vendors, and freelancers
  • Experience developing measure and monitoring practices to track the results of marketing efforts

Nice to have

  • Experience in Energy or Sustainability industries
  • Prior experience in a rapidly growing startup
