POSITION SUMMARY
The Key Account Representative is responsible for providing excellent service to our wholesale key accounts via email, phone, and in-person interaction. The position’s primary roles are to manage sales order entry, shipment, and after-sales service for our key accounts, serve as the primary contact person for these accounts and their respective sales representatives, and respond to and successfully resolve inquiries and requests promptly and proficiently.
The Key Account Representative will report to our Customer Service Manager while collaborating closely with and supporting our Key Account Sales Manager.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES & ACTIVITIES
· Provide exceptional service to key accounts while identifying and maximizing sales opportunities in collaboration with our Key Account Sales Manager, Customer Service Manager, and sales representatives
· Ensure that key account order, shipping, and invoicing requirements are executed accurately and consistently.
· Develop a strong working knowledge of EDI and the ability to monitor for and troubleshoot issues promptly and proficiently
· Enter and process sales orders and client data in the ERP system accurately and efficiently
· Release orders to the warehouse for shipment in a timely and accurate manner. Coordinate with the warehouse regarding shipments and logistics. Ensure that specific account packing, shipping, and marking guidelines are updated and executed consistently
· Coordinate with accounting and sales management for issues related to credit management
· Process return requests accurately and on-time
· Administer the warranty claims process for our key accounts
· Be the primary contact person for key accounts – before and after sales – for any inquiries such as product availability, sales order and shipment status, returns, or other matters
· Address and resolve any questions or issues involving the correct people in the organization as needed
· Answer emails and phone calls in a positive, professional, and timely manner
· Answer questions about our products, brands, and company
· Proactively resolve problems for our accounts and sales representative
· Support our dealer service team with assorted tasks as requested
· Execute on a variety of projects, assignments, and tasks that may be assigned
· Participate in proactive sales efforts as requested
· Attend and assist at tradeshows, sales meetings, sample sales, and other retail and consumer events as needed
· Learn and present the Dynafit, Salewa, Pomoca, Wild Country, and Evolv brands and products. In addition to on-the-job training, the employee is encouraged to use, enjoy, and better understand our products outside of work.
· Demonstrate proficiency of our computer systems and software, including our ERP system (Microsoft Navision), retail account portals, and business intelligence tools
Regularly and frequently communicate with accounts, sales representatives, sales management, accounting, warehouse, and other operational divisions within the business.
QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
· Bachelor’s degree preferred
· Two to four years of customer service and/or retail experience, preferably in the ski or outdoor industries
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills. Outgoing, social personality. Ability to establish strong professional working relationships
· Ability to work in a team environment
· Ability to work independently, take initiative, and make sound decisions
· Effective time management skills, including the ability to work efficiently, prioritize projects, and be self-motivated
· Strong organizational and computer skills, including Microsoft Office and general computer proficiency
· A passion for success, a positive attitude, an ability to solve problems, and a strong work ethic
· Love of the outdoors. A specific passion for mountain sports such as backcountry skiing, climbing/mountaineering, and/or trail running is a plus
JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES
Technical skills:
· Product knowledge of apparel, footwear, and ski and climbing equipment
· Strong computer skills. Proficient in all aspects of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
· Account management experience
· ZenDesk, ERP (Navision), and business intelligence experience is an advantage
Non-technical (soft) skills:
· Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
· Capable of working in a team environment
· Operational, hands on mentality, high level of energy and a “can do” attitude
· Attention to detail / quality / accuracy
