Full Job Description

Internship Dates: June 6th - August 12th 

ABOUT THE JOB:

The Pro’s Closet is searching for an Organizational Development Intern to support our VP of People & Culture and our Director of Learning & Development in a project to build career pathing maps matrices for each department within TPC. This is an exciting opportunity to deep dive into the knowledge, skills, abilities and competencies required for each role and build a structure to map out how our team can grow internally.

Next, you will help begin the process to tie this framework to our internal and external L&D capabilities and performance evaluation process. We will provide you with practical experience building Career Development frameworks for you to continue to apply throughout your educational and professional journey.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Receives direction and guidance from HR leadership on project priorities, department goals, and company wide initiatives
  • Build relationships with internal stakeholders and leadership to ensure that both tactical and strategic goals and outcomes are met
  • Define KSA’s for each role, and define what readiness looks like to progress within our organization
  • Build both maps and matrices by department out outline and present to departments on designed structure
  • Work with People & Culture team to integrate the developed frameworks into training structures and performance management processes
  • Review, evaluate, and recommend modifications to existing job descriptions to reflect established KSA’s

ABOUT YOU:

  • Current graduate student enrolled in an accredited university, studying Organizational Development, Human Resources Management, Business, or a related field
  • You have exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Posses a natural curiosity to learn and enjoy being part of initiatives that help grow TPC
  • You show persistence when faced with difficult problems or challenges and are able to remain calm in stressful situations
  • Ability to research through interviews, and then synthesize findings into cohesive written work product
  • A positive and professional attitude and a consistent work ethic, must be self-motivated and work well alone as well as on a team in a shop/warehouse and office atmosphere.
  • Must be comfortable in a fast paced, changing environment
  • Enthusiastic about the outdoor/cycling industry, the people it attracts, and all the gear!
  • TPC requires employees to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 for in person work and company events as required by your role, unless you qualify for an exemption allowable under the law
