ORGANIZATION OVERVIEW
The Phoenix is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization which offers a free sober active community to individuals who have suffered from a substance use disorder and to those who choose a sober life. Using a peer support model, we help members heal and rebuild their lives while also striving to eliminate stigma around recovery. Activities offered include group fitness, climbing, hiking, boxing, running, yoga, road & mountain biking, and strength training. Through traditional fundraising strategies and revenue ventures, The Phoenix is able to provide free programs for anyone with at least 48 hours of continuous sobriety. The Phoenix currently operates in 45 communities across 24 states.
Are you a "get stuff done" project leader who wants to leverage your organizational abilities, unparalleled communication skills, and creative problem solving talents for a nonprofit organization working to shift the tide of substance use disorder in America? We are looking for an experienced project manager to manage key organizational deliverables around operations and technology. As our project manager, your job will be to coordinate people and processes to ensure that our projects are delivered on time and produce the desired results. You will be the go-to person for everything involving a project's organization, timeline, and quality.
The ideal candidate have a wide background in operational and technology implementation, process management, and analysis. You should be an excellent communicator and comfortable managing multiple tasks. You also need to be incredibly detail-oriented, thrive as a team player and have a strong aptitude for problem-solving. Example projects include overseeing execution of new initiatives and market expansion(s); selecting and implementing various technology solutions to scale Phoenix programming; and standardizing best practices and processes.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines
- Delegate project tasks to employees best positioned to complete them
- Making effective decisions when presented with multiple options for how to progress on a given project
- Serve as a point of contact for teams when multiple units are assigned to the same project to ensure team actions remain in synergy
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
- Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques
- Report and escalate to management as needed
- Manage cross-functional relationships with staff and outside contractors
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of project management experience
- Proven value-add work experience in operations or consulting
- Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience with web technologies
- Excellent presentation skills (PP, Canva, etc.)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
- Expertise in Microsoft Office suite
