Position Summary:

The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for selling our cutlery product line to independent dealers. The position will service current dealers and prospect for new customers. The position is based at Outdoor Edge’s headquarters in Denver, Colorado and reports to the National Sales Manager.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Drive year-over-year sales increase with customers in the assigned territory
  • Identify new prospective dealers and close new business
  • Make outbound follow-up calls and emails to new and existing customers
  • Assist with creating various sales and marketing materials
  • Travel as needed to exhibit at trade shows, attend events, and conduct product demonstrations 

Qualifications:

  • Sales, customer service, or retail experience in the outdoor or consumer goods industry preferred, not required
  • College degree in business preferred
  • Ability to communicate persuasively over the phone, in writing, and in person
  • Ability to travel up to 50 days per year and occasionally travel over the weekends
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Ability to learn CRM’s and computer programs quickly
  • Experience with SAP Business One is a plus, not required
  • Able to lift 25 pounds frequently and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Compensation range $20 - $22 per hour plus annual bonus, sales incentives, and overtime pay opportunities
  • 401K with company match up to 4%
  • 8 paid holidays
  • Health, dental and vision insurance 
  • Life insurance and long-term disability insurance
  • Paid time off accrued on a semi-monthly basis and ranges from 2 to 4 weeks annually depending on tenure
