The Associate Brand Manager will lead initiatives that drive growth and profitability for the Birch Benders brand focused on trial and awareness of the brand through marketing and innovation. They will serve as a brand champion and steward protecting and promoting the Birch Benders consumer value equation. Throughout the Birch Benders organization, the Associate Brand Manager will be a thought leader, cross-functional galvanizer, and business partner. They will help to drive the overall brand and business direction, while implementing key programs to generate top and bottom-line growth. The Associate Brand Manager will work seamlessly with cross-functional teams, partnering with Sales, R&D, Supply Chain and Operations, as well as collaborating with multiple agencies. Based out of our Louisville office with a hybrid schedule.
Job Responsibilities:Â
- Support Birch Benders marketing PR and digital efforts (inclusive of social media, e-commerce, SEO, website, and email marketing) through managing agency and internal teams to enhance Birch Benders consumer reach.
- Key point person for media agency and support daily management and upkeep of digital campaigns including but not limited to social advertising, ecommerce advertising, display advertising and audience building.Â
- Assist in developing strategy, generating business building ideas, designing, and executing annual marketing campaign and plans.
- Evaluate success of programs, assessing competition and trends, uncovering consumer insights, building winning consumer propositions across product, proposition, and price.
- Develop innovation pipeline and commercialize new products and cost-ovation.
- Manage Brand website and support omni-channel ecommerce. Own birchbenders.com P&L, work closely with supply team to manage inventory and demand. Work with sales team to maintain ecommerce report card and work with agency partners and internal teams to optimize digital shelf.
- Build strategy in Birch Benders consumer journey with lead agency through our digital ecosystem and the communication/tone needed to drive broader trial and brand affinity.
- Collaborate with team to identify and deliver brand insight through regular and ad hoc business analytics. Report opportunities, issues, and solutions to Birch Benders and Sovos leadership teams.
- Support Birch Benders Marketing Director in critical base business and innovation projects, inclusive of project management, analytics, research, and cross functional engagement to achieve on-time results, driving success in the marketplace.
- Manage marketing budget and activation prioritization for the Birch Benders brand, inclusive of media planning, shopper marketing, advertising production, market research, new product design, and packaging design.
- Be a true business partner in representing the voice of the consumer within the company, across many functions and levels of the organization. As a member of the Birch Benders team, s/he will be required to not only deliver marketing and new product plans that grow sales but also have a broad understanding of all areas of the business and the levers required to manage the P&L and drive profitability.
- Play a key role in the Sovos Marketing function, and continually bring positive energy to the Sovos Marketing function and to the Birch Benders business.Â
Minimum Qualifications:
- BA/BS or equivalent college degree required.Â
- 2-3 years relevant CPG marketing or brand management experience
- Demonstrate proficiency with business analytic tools like: IRI, SPINS, Mintel, and social media/digital tools.
- Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office programs like Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Â
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior CPG and natural food industry experience.
- Knowledge of basic features in Photoshop and Illustrator.Â

- Proven track record of delivering results, including innovative ideas, methods to drive winning marketplace, and financial outcomes.

- The ability to be a great collaborator and show strong interpersonal skills. Must be a solid team player, yet strong enough stand up for our consumers.Â
The targeted budget for this position is $72K-$92K. This compensation budget range may be adjusted at any time at the discretion of the company.  Â
