Kodo is seeking a dynamic marketer to drive our growing brand. The Senior Marketing Manager will collaborate with sales, design and education teams to create effective and innovative campaigns to drive demand generation, thought leadership and inbound marketing. The Senior Marketing Manager is a skilled marketing professional who can strategically take rich, meaningful content and weave it into powerful campaigns across multiple channels of our mission-driven brand. This person is a creative and thoughtful marketer who understands the power of content and how to promote it strategically using various marketing tactics. The ideal candidate will be excited for the opportunity and challenge of building the marketing department from the ground up, and effectively shape the Kodo brand as our company grows. 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Design and implement marketing strategy, campaigns and content calendar with a focus on thought leadership to support business objectives.
  • Take educationally rich content from the education team and effectively spin it across multiple marketing channels. Content may include blog posts, case studies, articles, infographics, videos and webinars.
  • Collaborates with Kodo’s education team,  SMEs, and partners in the production of content and encourages an ongoing flow of content ideas that are in line with business strategy.
  • Ensures marketing collateral consistently reflects Kodo’s tone, style and branding. 
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines, from quick turnarounds to longer, in-depth projects.
  • Support sales through the management of media and content, site optimization, and social community platforms.
  • Act as a brand ambassador - share company vision through all forms of communication and cultivate it within.
  • Monitor metrics to ensure optimized marketing ROI and progress against goals.
  • Develop standards, systems and best practices (both human and technological) for content creation, distribution, maintenance, content retrieval and content repurposing, including the real- time implementation of content strategies.
  • Establish workflow for requesting, creating, editing, publishing, and retiring content.
  • Work with President to identify marketing dept needs and conduct hiring

A successful candidate will be/have the following:

  • 5-7 years relevant experience as a marketing/content manager. 
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to collaborate frequently with others.
  • A desire to be curious and look at challenges from different perspectives to find smarter solutions.
  • Ability to create overarching campaigns and execute with exceptional quality and care. 
  • Are extraordinarily passionate about the company’s mission to enhance children’s learning through play.
  • Are a solution-oriented problem solver who owns your work from start-to-finish.
  • Are a creative storyteller who is passionate about creating inspiring, enlightening, relevant content that helps your audience in meaningful ways.
  • Contribute not only to the content strategy and production, but also provide perspective, ideas, and insight to the marketing team as a whole. You're a collaborator at heart!
