What does your role bring to the table? 

The Senior Brand Manager is a leadership role within the Snooze marketing organization and the organization as a whole!  In this role the Brand Manager will be a brand steward and leader within the  

Snooze mothership, our Snoozers in restaurants and of course our guests.  

This thoughtful marketer will be charged with developing brand building initiatives and executing against those strategies with well thought out activation plans. Specific areas of responsibility include overarching brand building and traffic driving initiatives that include the following: Brand Marketing/Local Restaurant activation, Public Relations/Influencer activation, Retail and Merch Strategy, Off-Premise activation, and being a filter for the overall brand voice and expression.  Additional areas of support will come in the form of assisting in the development of an annual marketing plan, content /calendar planning and creation, crisis planning and mitigation as it relates to brand and PR. 

In order to execute against the key responsibilities of this role the individual will demonstrate characteristics around thought leadership, business acumen, problem solving skills and the ability to collaborate within a team and cross functionally within the organization.  These attributes will be critical in driving the desired business results across key marketing initiatives for Snooze. 

Lastly, this role will require the ability to adapt to the fluid needs of a growing business but also possess critical thinking, intellectual curiosity to learn and the ability to manage a project from inception to completion while operating with an entrepreneurial mindset to get the job done with limited resources. 

 

The Position specifics! 

Taking on the role of Senior Brand Manager isn’t just about bacon and pancakes. The responsibilities of this position include: 

Brand Marketing: Brand/PR/Retail 

  • Develop, in collaboration with your team, a content calendar and annual marketing initiatives.  Activate against that strategy and measure the success of that strategy to inform future tactics and campaigns. 
  • Lead in the development of amplifying key brand initiatives around our Community, Sustainability, Employment Brand, Snoozer initiatives and overall content creation. 
  • Support GTM plans with brief development and lead the team through the planning and execution process. 
  • Support restaurants with local activations to generate brand exposure. 
  • Lead the team and coordination of the NRO process and all support materials.  
  • Own the menu go-to-market process and understand cost card implications to the business.  
  • Lead in the development of all Snooze marketing collateral: menus, posters, videos, murals, and 4-wall. 
  • Actively manage Snooze’s PR agency to maximize investment and PR hits to drive overall brand awareness. 
  • Develop and execute a clear strategy and activation around Snooze’s PR and Influencer initiatives.  
  • Bring others along in quantifying earned media success and identifying opportunities to evolve our approach. 
  • Maximize PR and BUZZ around NRO’s (pre/during/post opening), menu innovation, and calendar initiatives. 
  • Manage and maintain retail vendor partner and retail strategy. 
  • Develop a broader retail strategy with a goal of becoming a highly visible and wearable brand.  
  • Manage and grow the Gift Card strategy for the brand. 

Off-Premise: 

  • Lead off-premise strategy with 3rd party delivery activations including promotional planning, campaign analysis and channel optimizations. 
  • Support team in channel expansion through additional DSPs and new revenue channels including catering. 

Sales Building: 

  • Utilize data and analytics to inform strategy and approach to sales-building efforts.  
  • Develop local traffic-driving plans to support select locations. 
  • Lead in the development of a Restaurant Activation Playbook to help build the brand and local traffic. 
  • Drive development of marketing support pieces for LRM efforts. 
  • Lead in the development of a cohesive New Restaurant Opening plan that will support new locations and their success plans post open. 

Leadership: 

  • Lead the marketing team in operational execution and partnership with L&D, operations, and restaurant communications. Present marketing initiatives/objectives cohesively and concisely for restaurant Snoozers to take action.  
  • Stay connected to restaurant management teams and markets to help inform and identify new initiatives and opportunities.  
  • Work collaboratively with Snooze Executive Leadership Team to meet yearly, quarterly and monthly goals and objectives.

  • Aptitude to quickly master new technologies and software solutions. 
  • Strong relationship-building skills and ability to communicate effectively with peers and Snoozers. 
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks based on workload. 
  • Ability to have fun, dance and laugh under/during stressful situations. (yes, seriously) 

 

Let’s talk prerequisites! (Education, credentials, and experience)  

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States. 
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience. 
  • 6+ years of brand management and marketing experience in restaurant company, ideally in casual dining segment. 
  • Experience in Public Relations and crisis management. 
  • Experience with local restaurant marketing, off-premise business, and print production.  
  • Cross-functional team management experience, collaborating closely with other teams to achieve common goals. 
  • Leadership acumen and accountability. 
  • Extensive expertise in Microsoft Office Suite:  Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 
  • Experience with digital, CMS & data platforms including Punchh, Salesforce, 3rd Party portals, Asana, Mirus/BI tools. 

 

Let’s get physical! (additional requirements) 

  • Must have the stamina to work 50 to 55 hours per week 
  • Required travel of 10% and ability to travel up to 5 days at one time (air, bus, train and weekend travel required)
  • Home base is in Denver, CO at the Snooze Mothership (flexible and remote work schedule optional) 

 

The Nitty Gritty Details 

Denver area base salary range: $90,000-$110,000 per year 

The base salary range above represents the low and high end of the Snooze salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Snooze’s total compensation package for employees.
