Colorado Perinatal Care Quality Collaborative (CPCQC) is a statewide 501(c)3 nonprofit that works with healthcare facilities, community-based organizations, and families here in Colorado as well with national partners to advance best practices and improve outcomes in maternal and infant health. Our vision is that EVERY pregnant and postpartum person, infant, and their families in Colorado has access to and receives safe, equitable, high-quality care. CPCQC also serves as the backbone organization for the Colorado Maternal Mental Health Collaborative (CMMHC) and Framework. CMMHC is a collective impact effort made up of more than thirty organizations with diverse and critical experience and roles in supporting perinatal mental health and wellness.
Position Summary:
The Program Evaluator will provide leadership in developing evaluation plans, streamlining data collection efforts across programs, addressing barriers to accessing data and utilizing data to support organizational decision-making. This new position will work across the range of CPCQC’s public health programs, which include hospital-based quality improvement initiatives as well as coalition and community-based projects. This is a full-time, salaried position working remotely in the state of Colorado. While this position is remote, there is an expectation to attend events and meetings in person across the state as needed. The Program Evaluator reports to the Vice President of Programs.
Job Responsibilities:
- Builds a robust organization evaluation program to better understand how CPCQC’s individual projects, and overall programming, impact maternal health outcomes in Colorado
- Review current organization-wide program evaluation plans and identify opportunities to align and streamline into an overall evaluation plan
- Create and/or revise program evaluation plans to improve cross-program alignment, streamline reporting and data analysis, and review program outcomes
- Create workflows and systems for evaluation tracking across organization and programs, including data visualizations
- Work with program leadership to define success for each program and best methods to measure success in collaboration with program and data staff; determine methods for evaluating programs over time.
- Ensure programs are on track to meet grant goals and requirements; evaluate programs and determine areas of concern/improvement
- In partnership with CPCQC’s leadership team and key partners, develop strategies to improve access to data from sources including hospitals, information exchanges, vital records, state-level databases and surveillance surveys
- Aggregate data from different sources for grant reporting and grant applications, in conjunction with grant writing specialists
- Assess impact of individual CPCQC programs as well as statewide impact of CPCQC initiatives as a whole
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in public health program evaluation planning, management, and reporting
- Education: Master’s degree in public health or related field
Skills/Qualifications:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, that include the ability to interpret, write for, and share findings with both technical and non-technical audiences
- Evaluation planning and implementation
- The ability to “tell a story” with data; knowledge of relevant data sources for evaluation, data visualization skills
- Ability to demonstrate an exceptionally high level of organization and attention to detail.
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Solid customer service and interpersonal skills
- Solid technological skills with good working knowledge of and experience with creating systems to track and report on evaluation metrics, including spreadsheets and software
- Prior project management experience and skills.
