Colorado Perinatal Care Quality Collaborative (CPCQC) is a statewide 501(c)3 nonprofit that works with healthcare facilities, community-based organizations, and families here in Colorado as well with national partners to advance best practices and improve outcomes in maternal and infant health. Our vision is that EVERY pregnant and postpartum person, infant, and their families in Colorado has access to and receives safe, equitable, high-quality care.  CPCQC also serves as the backbone organization for the Colorado Maternal Mental Health Collaborative (CMMHC) and Framework. CMMHC is a collective impact effort made up of more than thirty organizations with diverse and critical experience and roles in supporting perinatal mental health and wellness. 

Full Job Description

Position Summary:

The JR Data Analyst will support CPCQC’s efforts to improve maternal healthcare outcomes in Colorado by assisting with the collection, extraction, cleaning, and analysis of data. This is a PT contract position working remotely in the state of Colorado approximately 10 hours/week.  The position may involve occasional travel across the state for meetings with hospitals as necessary. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assists Quality Improvement Initiatives team with the preparation and analysis of data to inform healthcare quality improvement projects
  • Responsible for collecting, organizing, cleaning, and identifying trends from raw data
  • Extracts, cleans, and verifies data using preferred or available software, including but not limited to using programming languages such as Excel, SQL, SAS, R, Python, SPSS.
  • Assists in data collection, analysis, reports, and visualizations, including using data visualization tools such as PowerBI, Zoho, or similar software
  • Responds to data-related queries
  • Sets up processes to make data systems more efficient
  • Analyzes and interprets trends from the data to add organizational value
  • Work with team members to assure accuracy and integrity of data being collected
  • Provide data collection support as needed to healthcare teams, including assistance with data entry, data entry training, and access to data systems such as REDCap and others. 
  • Maintain customer focus, establishing collaborative relationships with partners and staff.
  • Manage projects to ensure all work is completed on time

Requirements 

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
  • Prior experience and technical skills in data cleaning, analysis, and visualization
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis techniques. 
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree or commensurate experience in data analysis in the fields of public health, epidemiology, biostatistics, science, mathematics, statistics, research, or related fields.
  • Master's Degree a plus but not required, with major coursework in public health, epidemiology, biostatistics, or related field

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Prior project management experience and skills. 
  • Ability to demonstrate an exceptionally high level of organization and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, that include the ability to interpret, write for, and share data findings with both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Dependable, detail-oriented, autonomous. 
  • Experience in the field of healthcare or public health is a plus but not required
