Full Job Description

Position Summary: Work with Sales, Marketing and Accounting to manage all trade spend across all channels and retailers to ensure we are tracking against our budget and are efficient with trade spend.

Responsibilities

  • Primary point of contact for all things related to trade programs, trade spending and accruals for customer accounts across channels. 
  • Be the point of contact for our trade promotion management system (Vividly) & related databases.
  • Enter all trade promotions into Vividly in a timely manner to ensure accruals estimates are accurate.
  • Accrue for distributor promotional fees.
  • Develop reports that track trade spending (actual vs. planned), analyze the results and synthesize the learnings into insights and actionable steps to ensure the incrementality and profitability of trade promotions.
  • Collect and analyze market data by evaluating competitive pricing, shelf placement, features and other promotional activity.
  • Propose scenarios and recommendations to optimize trade promotion guidelines and trade fund allocation across customers/channels.
  • Help manage the Sales trade budget at a national level and ensure that the established objectives & budgets are achieved in accordance with the Sales and Marketing strategy.
  • Help forecast plan/demand based on promotional activity.
  • Update and maintain special price lists for specific direct customers.
  • Conduct special projects as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Trade Manager; minimum 5 years of professional experience with successful track record in food or beverages companies
  • Very well-versed in IRI, SPINS/Satori, Nielson, Power BI, TPM, PowerPoint, & Excel
  • Possess key functional understanding of trade and category management
  • Prior experience with brand development and systems to support aggressive business growth
  • Skilled at working collaboratively with cross-functional teams such as Marketing, Finance and Operations
  • Able to influence key stakeholders at varying levels across the organization
  • Operates with integrity and has a strong drive for results
  • Able to be nimble in a changing environment; can adapt and excel
  • Excellent listening, negotiation, verbal and written communications skills
  • Hardworking, persistent, resourceful, and dependable
  • Creative problem solver who is positive and enthusiastic
