Job Purpose: Manage the acquisition of new members, grow membership, enhance sales management system, professionally represent the organization, analyze trends by attending industry events to stay informed of competitive advantages on an ongoing basis to help grow the association.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluates membership environment and identifies ways to expand and grow.
- Builds market position by locating and developing relationships.
- Sets goals and develops plans for association and revenue growth.
- Researches and implements new target market initiatives and tracking systems.
- Understands key business challenges, customer behavior, target audiences, competitive activity, and environmental factors that impacts Association.
- Increasing the value of membership services and benefits.
- Research and establish industry partnerships to increase collaborative initiatives.
- Examines risks and potentials for business opportunities.
- Attends conference and industry events.
Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field
- Minimum three years of experience in sales, marketing or related field
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Mac systems, and database management
Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build collaborative relationships
- Well-developed organizational, planning, coordination, and communication skills
- Capability to work autonomously; is self-motivated; desire to take full ownership of projects
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Energetic and positive outlook with a motivation for sales
- Ability to exercise sound judgement and decision making independently
- Knowledge of the substance use disorder (SUD) and behavioral health care industry is a plus
- Knowledge of fundraising is a plus
Working conditions: NAATP employs remote workers who must maintain a home office conducive to optimal work performance and free of distractions. Some projects may require staff to travel. All staff are required to work and be available during office hours depending on time zone location.
Physical requirements: Employee must be able to remain in a stationary position 90% of the time. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity equipment.
Position Type: Full-Time Exempt
Location: Remote. We offer a flexible environment through work-from-home remote positions. Home location must be located within the US. The position includes moderate travel.
