We are a small, passionate group dedicated to improving your office operations and making your visitors’ experience the best it can be. Full Job Description

About the Role

As a business development professional, you will leverage your active listening skills, authenticity, product knowledge, and passion for sales to uncover your prospects' pain points and guide them toward the Account Executive team. Through a mix of outbound and inbound efforts that draw upon your master-level organization skills, you’ll wow prospects with a product that is highly developed for a specific industry segment. By directly fulfilling a need specific to this vertical, you have a reason to call, not just an “oh by the way” that you may be used to in your past role.

Join The Receptionist, and take your sales career to the next level as we grow into new markets!

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Utilizing the resources available to you–including LinkedIn Navigator, ZoomInfo, SalesLoft, and a highly collaborative team environment–to generate new leads to pass to the Account Executives via outbound cold calling, emailing, and LinkedIn.

  • Identifying and researching prospects within a specific industry vertical.

  • Qualifying inbound leads that come to you via our interactive product tours, phone, online chat, email, quote inquiries, and demo requests before passing them to an Account Executive.

  • Working closely with the Director of Sales as we launch new initiatives. You will help open new markets for the company.

  • Demonstrating your alignment with our core values that is the FABRIC of everything we do: Fun, Authentic, Bold, Respectful, Innovative, and Collaborative.

Requirements

  • Outbound sales experience of at least 6-12 months in a Business Development or Inside Sales role; SaaS experience is preferred but not required.

  • Ability to clearly articulate the product’s value and functionality to potential customers.

  • Ability to actively listen to and understand the needs of potential customers and respond accordingly.

  • Ability to conduct research independently and identify prospects for outbound campaigns.

  • Ability to spend one week per quarter in our Denver metro office.

  • Reside in CO, FL, MA, NM, NC, OH, OK, PA, or TX.

  • Authorization to work in the US.

  • Multi-lingual a plus (Spanish and French).

About us

The Receptionist, located in the RiNo district in Denver, CO, is the industry-leading, cloud-based Visitor Management Solution (VMS) that automates visitor check-in and helps reduce the chaos of the modern front office. We are expanding our fantastic team to support our ongoing growth and to continue to crush our goals. Companies worldwide trust our efficient, secure solution to create a great first impression and connect employees with their visitors. The Receptionist for iPad is in use in over 5,000 locations in 36 countries around the globe, including companies such as PolyOne, Virgin Galactic, Gordon Food Service, GXO, ADP, TripAdvisor, and Hershey’s.

The Receptionist is doing something very different than other companies. For decades, companies have operated under a model of “Shareholder Supremacy.” Leadership decisions are driven solely by what will grow shareholder value as quickly as possible, even if those decisions aren’t aligned with the needs of the employees. Our company operates under a model of Employee Supremacy, and that means our company leaders focus on what’s best for our employees, not the shareholders. We believe that by doing so, we are creating a more valuable company that gives customers an authentic experience and has dedicated, happy and productive employees. Watch this video to learn more!

What you can expect from us:

  • A commitment to professional development, support for your continuous growth, and a clear career path.

  • An opportunity to make a profound impact and fully contribute to the growth of our organization.

  • Hard work, humanity, fun, and laughter. We are a small, passionate, driven, and highly collaborative team that is fully invested in the success of our company and values contributions from each team member. No gossip. No BS. No buzzwords.

  • Flexible hours from a combination of work environments, including work-from-home, in addition to a premier co-working space (Industry Denver), with outstanding amenities (e.g., recreation, cafe, networking, etc.). We track accomplishments and contributions – not hours in the office or the number of vacation days taken.

  • Competitive compensation package including unlimited paid time off; conference, technology, and travel stipends; and excellent coverage for health, dental, and vision.

  • Free lunches and a robust “snack vault.” We don’t want anyone to be hungry.

  • Everything else is listed here: https://thereceptionist.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/The-Receptionist-Employee-Benefits.pdf!
