We're looking for a community owner - yep, "owner" not just a "manager" - in the Austin, Texas area.
Have you ever wanted a side hustle with income potential? Â Do you love connecting people, learning about interesting companies, and helping people find their dream job?
Luke's Circle is expanding to Austin and we're looking for a scrappy, entrepreneurial-minded person who wants to be the head of Luke's Circle in Austin. Â
We're not looking for an employee. Â We're looking for someone who is hungry to build a side hustle and take ownership as a business owner does. Â You'll be the face of the business in Austin. Â Think part curator of jobs, part community manager, part ambassador, part marketer. Â
Note, this is NOT a full-time opportunity. Â This is very part-time side-hustle that only requires 2-8 hours per week. Â Most of the activities can be completed in the evenings, but it may require periodic daytime check-in and engagement.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Be the point person for bringing Luke's Circle to Austin.
- Take the initial member list and scale it to thousands of members over time.
- Engage in grassroots marketing activities to build awareness among professionals and employers.
- Execute promotional strategies to drive employer job posting interest.
- Curate job postings to match the target demo of Luke's Circle in Austin.
- Be an ambassador and spokesperson for Luke's Circle in Austin.
- Review and approve job postings from companies 2-3x per week.
- Prepare an email newsletter, leveraging our streamlined back-end system, to be sent to members 2x per week.
- Grab the bull by the horns and take ownership over the success of Luke's Circle in that market!
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be located in Austin and a part of the startup scene
- Strong familiarity with companies in Austin
- Detail-oriented
- Strong in executing and follow-through
- Marketing savvy
- Familiarity with Mailchimp and WordPress is beneficial.
- Strong networker and well connected
- High integrity, well-liked and a positive reputation
