Overview 

Verb Biotics is a new company built on Ginkgo Bioworks’ biotechnology platform with the goal of improving overall human health through probiotics (“biotic”) technology that provides consumers with an “I feel the effect” experience. At Verb, we target specific health and wellness conditions and develop “biotic” solutions that have a clear “mechanism-of-action.”  We are building a passionate team of health and wellness experts and are seeking a Marketing Coordinator. 

 

Job Summary  

The Marketing Coordinator will thrive in our fast-paced, start-up business environment.  Reporting to the Marketing Director.  We are looking for a strong candidate with a unique mix of digital marketing, lead generation, marketing experience, project management, communication, and organization skills, who can thrive in a collaborative and dynamic environment.  We expect that you will have an expanded knowledge of all things marketing, yet potentially have a specialized skillset in specific marketing activities (e.g. content management, events, media outreach, lead generation, campaign management via Hubspot, etc.).  An enthusiastic attitude an eagerness to test, learn, and adapt in projects and programs will be useful on a daily basis. 

 

To be successful in this position, you must have the drive and ability to explore, invest, and troubleshoot in a thoughtful, creative, and innovative manner to help the team deliver on our strategic business objectives and overall vision.   

 

Core Responsibilities 

  • Design and write lead generation print and digital marketing assets including emails, advertising, landing pages, social content, website & e-comm assets. 
  • Manage daily incoming marketing qualified leads and external digital communications (newsletter and drip email campaigns) through Hubspot; must have experience with demand generation content strategy and testing. 
  • Test and analyze lead generation campaigns and optimize SEO strategy. 
  • Conduct and summarize market research and competitive analysis. 
  • Manage and plan all tradeshow and partner events including speaking events and media interactions. 
  • Develop media calendar and assist with public relations outreach. 
  • Develop and manage social media account content to amplify Verb Biotics thought leadership. 
  • Providing varying levels of operational and logistics support for priority external sales programs (i.e. pitch deck customization). 
  • Showing up each day with a can-do sensibility to day-to-day marketing operations and cross-departmental collaboration. 

 

Qualifications / Skills 

  • 2 –4 years of relevant marketing experience in a professional services environment 
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing with demonstrated academic achievement 
  • Knowledge of customer relationship marketing systems such as Hubspot 
  • Experience in digital campaign implementation and testing along with SEO analysis 
  • Experience working with social media platforms such as LinkedIn 
  • Proven written and oral English skills 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to engage all levels of the organization 
  • Demonstrated organizational skill, able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple parallel tasks 
  • Commitment to prioritization, execution and attention to detail

Salary Range 

Salary Range $50,000 - $80,000  

Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
