We are looking for an accountant to join our dynamic team. This role offers the flexibility to work environment and provides an excellent opportunity for growth within the organization.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Reconciliation of Bank Accounts and Balance Sheet Accounts:
· Conduct regular reconciliation of bank accounts to ensure accuracy and
completeness of financial records.
· Reconcile other balance sheet accounts as required to maintain financial integrity.
2. Accounts Payable Management:
· Review and code bills received from vendors and suppliers.
· Prepare payments for remittance in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with payment terms.
3. Credit Card Activity and Reconciliation:
· Regularly post credit card activity and match receipts to transactions.
· Perform end-of-month reconciliation for credit card statements.
4. Accounts Receivable Oversight:
· Provide oversight of Accounts Receivable processes, including monitoring
outstanding invoices.
· Assist in collections efforts as needed.
5. Inventory Management
· Record inventory entries in a consistent and accurate manner.
6. Payroll Journal Entries:
· Record bi-weekly payroll journal entries accurately and in compliance with payroll regulations.
· Ensure payroll-related accounts are reconciled.
7. Financial Closing Process:
· Perform monthly journal entries and reconciliations as part of the financial closing process.
· Ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded and classified.
Qualifications
· Strong accounting background with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
· Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks Online, Inventory Management Software, Shopify).
· Proficiency in accrual accounting methods
· Ability to perform bank reconciliations accurately
· Familiarity with technical accounting standards and practices.
· Familiarity with tax regulations related to Form 1099 (preferred).
· Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
· Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
· Willingness to take on responsibilities in a startup environment.
· Demonstrated ability to grow into a larger role within the organization.
