Who You Are:

You are a passionate, dedicated accountant with 2-4 years of experience looking to continue to grow within your specialty, and who wants to make a real difference in the world of snacks and isn’t afraid to create better and more efficient processes & dive into the numbers and make sure they are right. You will play a key role in using your attention-to-detail skill set to help with the next phase of our growth; to streamline our back-office functions with efficient and sustainable processes to support our continued growth.

 

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • A bachelor's degree in accounting is desired, along with a high level of attention to detail. Other desirable attributes include a high mathematical aptitude, a strong analytical ability, an uncanny ability to keep documents well organized & easily traceable, and a demonstrated interest in finance. The ability to use and learn new computer systems and financial reporting software is essential.
  • The junior accountant will help with (and eventually take over) managing accounts payable & accounts receivable, reconciling bank and credit card statements/transactions, processing expense reports, supporting our external deductions management team track qualified deductions and defend erroneous manufacturer chargebacks and assisting with other ad hoc tasks as assigned.
  • The person in this role will have the opportunity to, and will eventually lead projects to, evaluate, learn and implement automation technologies for streamlining various departmental tasks as agreed upon by the team members as a whole.
  • Hands-on experience or familiarity with the following services and software would be helpful: BILL (formerly Bill.com), Expensify (or Ramp), Quickbooks Online Advanced, Shopify and Amazon Seller Central, and for extra credit Cin7/DEAR inventory management systems.
  • Support VP of Finance with ongoing needs and analysis for forecasting, budgeting, and period-end reporting

Compensation & Benefits:

  • $45,000 - $60,000 annually, depending upon experience
  • Full-time employees and dependents are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 4 weeks paid time off, paid holidays, additional time off between Christmas and New Years
  • 401(k) program with employee contribution
