“I Have A Dream” Foundation of Boulder County (IHDF) is searching for a full time Marketing & Communications Manager to join the Development Team in building out a robust fundraising program. IHDF is a well-established organization in Boulder County with a strong base of financial support. There is significant opportunity to sustain and grow the current fundraising goals. The Marketing & Communications Manager will be an integral team member, working closely with the Director of Development to implement communication and marketing strategies to help garner support and grow awareness of the organization.

For this role, we need someone who knows a little about all aspects of marketing and communications so you can help us elevate every channel within the organization. We are looking for a creative person who has excellent writing and storytelling skills.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Marketing & Branding
- Maintains and updates the visual brand identity — training staff to effectively implement the look and feel of the brand.
- Create organizational collateral to promote IHDF programs and encourage support.
- Work with each department to ensure consistency and branding standards in all collateral needs.
- Chair the Social Media Committee made up of a cross section of staff from various departments and ensure the committee understands and follows the social media strategy.
- Project manage all functions related to marketing to ensure all branding and marketing are successful.
- Act as internal webmaster to audit websites for accuracy.
Communications
- Oversee organization-wide messaging — drafting and rolling out training and tools to support the adoption of clear and consistent messages.
- Create, maintain and execute an annual org wide communication calendar.
- Develop and send monthly communications (newsletters, etc) to supporters through Campaign Monitor.
- Project manage creation of annual report.
- Collaborate with Development staff on creation of annual appeal mailings.
Event Support
- Project manage any design/communication/marketing needs for two main annual events, Dream-Maker Luncheon and Golf tournament, along with smaller donor cultivation events throughout the year.
Staff Engagement
- Assist in hiring and onboarding for the Development Team and related hires.
- This position may oversee interns or contractors based on project load and need.
- Assist in ensuring that organizational and departmental goals and operations align with and support the Strategic Plan and organizational culture of philanthropy.
- Work collaboratively with the Development Director to create the annual communications plan in alignment with the fundraising plan.
QUALIFICATIONS
A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, or related field and two (2) years of work experience in marketing and communications (preferably with a nonprofit); or an equivalent combination of education and experience. We will consider alternative ways in which an applicant may have gained the required qualifications, outside of traditional pathways.

- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, meet multiple concurrent deadlines, organize time and priorities and work well as a collaborative team member
- Understanding and knowledge of allyship, how to be an accomplice, an openness to learn and a personal commitment to DEI
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Experience using Adobe Creative Suite, Canva and other design tools
- Experience using Campaign Monitor
- Spanish translation proficiency
WORK SCHEDULE
This is a full time position that may require some weekends and/or evenings to support and attend IHDF events. Hybrid work environment is an option after successful onboarding.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
- Salary Range $55,000 - $65,000, depending on qualifications
- 15 days Vacation, 10 days Sick Leave, an additional 3 weeks of time off during Fall and Winter
