Primary Responsibilities:

The KeHE Exclusive Brands Business Manager will have an integral role on the team responsible for managing and growing KeHE Distributors proprietary brand CADIA (www.mycadia.com) and MADE-WITH (www.madewithfoods.com). The role is perfect for an individual who loves to look for stories in the data, enthusiastically digs into the details, but quickly zooms out to share the big picture. The person selected will partner with the sales team on education and on key sales initiatives, and partner with the KeHE Category Managers, Growth Solutions Team and Marketing team. The Brand Manager will also play a key role with developing supplier relationships, developing promotional strategies and managing certification requirements. Essential Functions:

  • Identify and monitor product trends and insights to support category strategies. This includes using SPINS data, curating supplier insights, following publications and attending shows.
  • Translate data into actionable and innovative insights to create turn-key, influential solutions for KeHE’s sales team and retail partners.
  • Define the role of KeHE Exclusive Brands within each specific category, and how to win with each specific Exclusive Brand SKU
  • Measure and track category metrics to ensure performance goals are being met.
  • Partner with KeHE Category Managers & Growth Solutions Team to grow CADIA and MadeWith presence in their category reviews and item recommendations.
  • Enhance organizational knowledge of Private Label, and Private Labels role in key categories by partnering with the sales and marketing teams to effectively communicate and present information.
  • Lead promotional strategy with sales team. Manage workflow of temp worker to have all promotional deal sheets completed accurately and on time.
  • Assist customer service resource with customer inquiries.
  • Manage Road Map meetings with existing suppliers to ensure programs are reviewed annually with an eye towards new items, pricing, deduction resolution, and performance.
  • Work with supplier community and certifying agencies on Organic Certifications, FSVP, Kosher, RSPO (sustainable palm), and non-gmo Project Verification to ensure KeHE Exclusive Brands are compliant.
  • Monitor certification process, request print authorizations, finalize item setup for new items.
  • Manage the exit of unprofitable SKU’s and vendor transitions.

Minimum Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s Degree is required.
    • Five (5) or more years in relevant retail or consumer product industry role.
    • Advanced Excel Skills + Financial Acumen is preferred.
    • Familiarity with FDA labelling regulations, good manufacturing practices, and 3rd party certifications (i.e. USDA Organic, Non-GMO Project Verified) preferred.
    • Experience with syndicated data is preferred.
