Director of Marketing & Brand Experience
The Synergy Company is seeking a Director of Marketing and Brand Experience to join our marketing team. The Director of Marketing and Brand Experience will contribute to the build-out of our best-in-class D2C and omnichannel experience for our consumers and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our brand. This role is instrumental in creating meaningful, relationship-driven connections with our consumers to drive brand awareness, loyalty, and category-leading CLTV.
As part of a small and nimble marketing team, this role will have oversight and hands-on ownership of our brand platform, brand and content strategy and execution, category and consumer insights, the end-to-end consumer experience, performance marketing strategy, social media presence, and related external partners. Collaborating with other leaders across our company, the Director of Marketing and Brand Experience will be entrusted with helping their direct reports grow further into realizing their fullest potential while helping chart the path for The Synergy Company’s next 30+ years as an evergreen, independently owned company.

The Vital Role You’ll Have:
As the Director of Marketing and Brand Experience, you’ll be working closely with the CMO to develop, implement and evaluate short and long-term plans, including team structure, key initiatives, annual and quarterly planning, and budget and P&L planning. You will charter, scope, and implement key projects and oversee external vendor relationships. This role will develop and maintain our Brand Platform in partnership with the design lead, and will own integrated marketing strategy development and activation plans across all channels, including partnerships, social media, advertising (paid search, paid social, and DSP), CRM/email/SMS, and e-commerce to support our growth objectives in a holistic, unified manner. As the Director of Marketing and Brand Experience, you will advocate for and ensure an optimized, consistent consumer experience across the consumer journey. You will also have the opportunity to work cross-functionally, including supporting internal stakeholders such as R&D on market research for product development and supporting the Wholesale e-commerce and People and Culture teams as requested.
What You Need:
Preference is given to candidates who live in Boulder, CO, or the surrounding Front Range area. A flexible hybrid or remote work schedule may be considered for the right candidate. In addition to location, you will need to have the following:

A bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, economics, communications, business or a similar field.

An MBA or equivalent master’s degree in marketing, Business, or a related field is preferred.

8+ years of progressive marketing, branding, social media, business strategy, consumer insight, and leadership experience.

At least 4 years of work experience at an eCommerce or omnichannel Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) company or agency-side, product management, or management consulting experience.

Experience driving growth within a D2C business model, including with eCommerce platforms such as Shopify and Amazon.

Experience with paid search, paid social, and performance marketing, including ad content strategy across Google, Amazon, Meta, and Tradedesk, and DSP.

Experience managing social media strategy, resourcing, and execution.

Experience serving as a leader supporting the growth and success of direct reports.

Excellent EQ and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence, inspire, resolve conflict, and create momentum while maintaining a collaborative, respectful, and helpful demeanor.
