Overview
Pact is hiring an Apparel Technical Developer to join the Product team based in Boulder, CO. This role will be responsible for the fit of high-quality apparel from design hand-off through production ready garments. You will lead specific apparel category fittings with the Director of Technical Design to ensure high quality and consistent product fit is achieved. You will use your skills of building spec, patternmaking, fitting physical garments and providing fit comments. You will collaborate cross-functionally with Design and Merchandising teams to bring products to life to satisfy current business needs all while creating efficiency across the Product Development team.

Location/Reporting
- Location: Boulder, CO (Hybrid)Â
- Reports to: Director of Technical Development
- Travel: Limited international travel may be required
Responsibilities
- Responsible for maintaining and executing design aesthetic through consistent fit and communications
- Lead fit sessions in owned categories and take initiatives as the fit expert for all products in those categories, ensuring consistency across categories, that aligns with customers needs
- Create technical specs ensuring that all details are commercially viable and factory compliant
- Identify potential product, quality, and costing issues and make recommendations to uphold brand equity and improve production efficiency.
- Continuously refine fit processes to drive ongoing improvements in fit consistency.
- Maintain internal block library and How-To-Measure manuals to achieve optimal, consistent fit and enhance development processes.
- Ensure size and fit consistency across all product categories
- Track and manage sample workflow for own products
- Collaborate with Design and Merchandising teams to gain clear direction and consensus of design and fit intent
- Monitor production quality and complete quality reviews of garments as needed based on data
- Collaborate with vendors on new construction techniques and ongoing quality standards
- Independently manage workload and prioritize tasks to adhere to key deadlines
- Other duties as required by the evolving nature of a fast-growth company
About You
- Bachelor's Degree in Apparel Development, Pattern Making, Apparel Design, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3+ years experience in apparel technical developmentÂ
- Experience developing and fitting both men’s and women’s apparel across both wovens and knits.Â
- Knowledge of fabrics, construction, finishes, trims, fitting, and techniques
- Knowledge in patternmaking including grading, construction and fit; Ability to make pattern adjustments
- Ability to make independent decisions based on a higher level of knowledge and expertise
- Experience working with overseas vendor base
- Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Mac or PC, PLM online systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with internal and external partners
- Strong organization skills and high attention to detail and accuracyÂ
- Ability to swiftly shift priorities based on the needs of the business
- Proactive, solution oriented, problem solver mindset
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team
- Interest in sustainability a must
- Entrepreneurial sensibility, collaborative and flexible working style
Compensation:
- Estimated to be $70K - $90K per year; bonus opportunity up to 10% of salary*
- Comprehensive health benefits, partially company sponsored
