Company Overview
Vetcove streamlines vet supply shopping by unifying vendors on one platform—modernizing animal health and helping vets focus on care.
Company Description

We’re two brothers who grew up working in our dad’s equine practice in New Jersey. Like most clinics, we just accepted that inventory was a cumbersome chore. We spent countless hours locating products, navigating backorders, and comparing options across vendors. And we trusted a few key vendors to take good care of us.

Many years and academic degrees later, we got a chance to see the inner workings of veterinary supply. We learned how vendors charge different prices to every clinic using a system of tiers, and how our reps’ commissions increased when they raised our prices. We lost the ability to profitably resell most products, and running a successful practice became steadily more difficult. We decided to embark on a mission to help veterinary organizations like ours do better in this challenging environment — and Vetcove was born.

Vetcove isn’t going to solve all of the challenges your clinic faces, but we promise that it will make inventory easier, faster, and cheaper. It will help you find the best products, the lowest-cost vendor to purchase it from, and whether you can resell it profitably. You’ll have access to the most extensive combined catalog in the industry, and one easy-to-use tool for purchasing from all of the vendors you’re already using.

Full Job Description

As Chief of Staff, you’ll be the right hand to our leadership team—helping navigate the complexities of a high-growth startup. In this high-impact role, you’ll help drive forward our most critical priorities, work across every division of the company to streamline operations, and ensure that cross-functional initiatives move from idea to reality. This is an ideal role for someone who thrives in an ultra fast-paced, high-growth environment, enjoys solving complex problems, and is eager to make a direct impact on company trajectory.

What You’ll Do

  • Partner with the executive team to define and operationalize strategic objectives
  • Lead and oversee cross-functional initiatives to ensure timely, high-quality execution
  • Drive accountability by establishing clear goals, timelines, and reporting processes
  • Identify and resolve organizational bottlenecks and inefficiencies
  • Coordinate high-impact projects that span multiple teams and stakeholders
  • Ensure consistent, transparent communication between leadership and the broader team

What We’re Looking For

We’re not hung up on titles or years of experience. What matters most is that you’re sharp, driven, and able to make sense of complex problems—then turn them into clear, actionable plans.

You might be a great fit if:

  • You’ve previously served in a Chief of Staff (or senior operations) role and loved being at the center of everything
  • You’re a systems thinker who can zoom out to see the big picture, then dive deep to get things done
  • You’re naturally curious, proactive, and love asking “why” until things make sense
  • You communicate clearly—whether you’re drafting a strategy doc, running a meeting, or chatting one-on-one
  • You thrive in fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environments and know how to bring order to chaos
  • You’re the kind of person people instinctively trust to figure things out and follow through

An MBA or background in strategy, operations, or product is a plus—but intelligence, hunger, and competence matter far more to us.

Benefits (Full Time Roles)

  • 100% remote within the USA
  • Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance
  • Automatic 401k contribution
  • Employee referral program
  • At home office set up
  • Bi-annual company retreats
  • Open vacation policy
  • Equity
  • Monthly team events
