Chef LMT is a food CPG company spans many categories in the CPG industry including; Nathan’s Famous Licensee in many major retailers and private label business with brands that you may be familiar with.  The company was founded by our CEO, Steve Marlowe, who grew this company himself and still remains involved in the day-to-day operations.  The company is sustainably growing and profitable, with many opportunities to expose yourself to new categories, channels, and relationships.  

To support our continued growth, we are seeking an Accounting and Operations
Associate for our team. This person needs to be a highly motivated and engaged; a
self-starter; have great interpersonal skills; strong analytical skills; detailed oriented and
a cultural fit for our small, dynamic, and dispersed team. It will be important for the
person to feel comfortable asking questions. There are considerable growth
opportunities within the company as the Associate is a key position to learning and
working with all the parts of the company. Note that travel may be required for this
position.

Below is the focus of the role. They include but are not limited to:

1. Assistance with all Accounting Functions;
a. A/R activities including deduction management with all customer
systems.
b. A/P Management
c. Month-End accounting and reporting processes including; bank and
credit card reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, and critical
review processes.

2. Participation with Month-End and Year-End reporting processes.

3. Participation with Annual Auditor Review.

4. Assistance in implementing accounting controls and other process
improvements

5. Financial Planning and Analysis;
a. Familiarity with key drivers in CPG industry including; sales, promotion,
product costs, and return on investment of key initiatives.
b. Analysis of all parts of working capital.
c. Work with key information systems including Retailer Portals, Neilsen
Data, and various Ecommerce Platforms including Walmart.com,
Amazon, Various DTC platforms and Stripe.
d. Work with various EDI platforms.
e. Participation in various credit card and expense reporting systems.

6. Assistance in operations duties (especially seasonally) including logistics, thirdparty
warehouse management, inventory management, and order process.

Preferred Qualifications:
1. 2-5 years experience in accounting roles, preferably in CPG industry.
2. Bachelors degree in Accounting and Finance.
3. General understanding of GAAP.
4. Proficiency in QuickBooks Enterprise and Microsoft Excel preferred.
