We are looking for a seasoned, creative, hands-on marketing professional capable of owning and driving all customer acquisition programs for Sunday. The Director of Acquisition Marketing will lead the strategic planning and daily execution of acquisition marketing activities, including funnel customer acquisition (both paid digital media and offline advertising), SEO, referral programs, affiliate, and email marketing. This person will own overall customer treatment from their initial awareness of the Sunday brand, into the considerations funnel, and through to conversion.
This role is for someone who has the desire to lead, shape, and have ownership of a hyper-growth company. We are looking for someone who is equal parts analytical and creative, with a passion for disrupting categories and driving consumer value. As Sunday is a new startup, this is an opportunity to join at the ground level, make immediate impacts, work directly with founders, and continually grow with the company as it scales.
Some of the general responsibilities of the Director of Acquisition Marketing include:
- Creating our growth marketing strategy and owning the translation into tangible go-to-market plans that will help us achieve our ambitious goals
- Honing Sunday’s positioning, messaging, and branding to effectively tell our story to potential customers, community members, and partners
- Building, maintaining, measuring, and optimizing our marketing channel mix, particularly organic growth initiatives that resonate with our ideal customer personas
- Influencing product strategy and the way we bring products to market, combining research, positioning, and messaging to maximize adoption and customer value
Desired Background
- +6 years experience leading marketing for an early stage startup using a data-informed approach to measure ROI
- Demonstrable experience in all or most of the following: funnel optimization, business development, email marketing, paid social management, organic social, content marketing, peer-to-peer referral programs, partnerships, SEO / SEM, referral-based programs
- Killer analytical and quantitative skills
- Experience working on digital-first brands with strong e-commerce presence
