Summary

In this role, the Associate Brand Manager will be responsible for supporting the equity and growth of the Wholesome brand (base and innovation) in North America. This role will be a key contributor to the North America marketing team, partnering closely with Wholesome’s Director of Marketing and others. The ideal candidate has a passion for building mission-driven brands, has strong analytical skills, is a positive “can do” team player, is resourceful, is a project management enthusiast and loves working with others to make things happen.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.  Nothing in this job description restricts management’s right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.

  • Analyzes sales, category and consumer data to monitor business health, uncover insights and provide recommendations to inform brand, marketing and innovation strategies and tactics
  • Supports Director of Marketing and Sr. Communications Manager in integrated marketing, including creative campaigns, paid media, influencer and ambassador programs, omnichannel content support, trade shows, and impact reporting
  • Leads portfolio maintenance projects such as renovations and packaging updates, and supports in line extension projects from ideation to commercialization and launch; demonstrates understanding of key P&L drivers
  • Collaborates cross-functionally with partners including Sales, Project Management, R&D, Finance, Supply Chain, and DTC/eCommerce
  • Manages customer relationships including supporting sell-in, executing shopper marketing, and leading customer-specific innovation projects
  • Reports to Wholesome Director of Marketing

  • Strong understanding of marketing strategy and a consumer and customer-focused approach; relevant experience effectively marketing to reach target consumers
  • Entrepreneurial, problem solver and initiative taker; thrives in a fast-paced environment on a variety of projects, is adaptable to changes and can prioritize
  • Passion for natural and organic products and mission-driven brands
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and synthesize data to uncover insights; familiarity with SPINS and Numerator a plus
  • Strong business acumen and keen attention to details are a must
  • Superior project management skills, managing multiple projects under tight timelines
  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams and developing professional and personal relationships internally and externally at all levels of an organization
  • Excellent executive presence and presentation skills
  • Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, verbal and written communication skills
  • Some travel required domestically for trade shows, customer meetings and team events, as well as opportunity for some international travel

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in brand management, marketing, project management, or business analytics. Food experience (and passion!) a plus.
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, or related field. MBA a plus.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

  • Base Salary: $95,000-$120,000, plus bonus
